Spooky season has officially snuck up on us, and we can’t quite believe Halloween is already next week! It’s easily one of our favourite times of the year, especially with so many incredible things to do in Glasgow this Halloween. Whether you fancy catching Ghostbusters at the Botanics, listening to chilling film scores by candlelight, or hitting a museum disco party, Glasgow is packed with spooktacular events.
To make planning easy, we’ve rounded up all the most thrilling, chilling, and gruesome things to do in Glasgow this Halloween into one ultimate guide.
Go to a zombie zoo at the UK’s largest Halloween event

The UK’s biggest Halloween event is taking place in Glasgow, as it’s GlasGLOW time! This year, guests can visit the Zombie Zoo. Between October 16 and November 1, Glasgow Botanic Gardens will bring chills and thrills to guests of all ages, along with feel-good interactive light installations. The trail takes around 60 minutes to complete, and will make you contemplate the apocalypse and craft your own plan. Now that’s what I call scary!

Beloved Fleetwood Mac songs like you’ve never witnessed them before, surrounded by a sea of candles. Guests will have the chance to witness a standout performance on October 31 at Merchants House of Glasgow, a picturesque historic venue. A special candlelit concert, dedicated to the legendary band Fleetwood Mac this spooky season, Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac, will play well-known tunes, such as Everywhere, Gypsy, You Make Loving Fun, Never Going Back Again and more.

Embark on a chilling journey through one of the most haunted cities in the world—if you dare. This sinister tour leads you across Glasgow to uncover the dark history and hidden secrets buried within its oldest buildings. Starting at Glasgow Central Station, the 65-minute adventure takes you through 14 eerie locations, each more mysterious than the last. Gather your sharpest friends; you’ll need every bit of brainpower to solve the clues and uncover the truth.
Go to this witchy market with mocktails, mystic vibes and activities

Stock up on crystals, get your tarot cards read, join a coven, or simply support independent makers at the Glasgow Witchy Bazaar. Returning to The Haberdashery this October, the market kicks off on October 4 from 12 PM–4 PM, with plenty of witchy local businesses and activities. What is more, the organisers usually have something on around Halloween with after-dark sessions and events, but no announcements have been made just yet. You can get your tickets here.
Go pumpkin picking

Most pumpkin patches around Scotland are open until the end of the month, so why not enjoy some quality time with loved ones at a pumpkin festival? Plus, the farms offer Halloween-themed activities for guests to enjoy. For example, M&D’s is hosting a huge pumpkin patch this year, where guests can enjoy rides and even their rainforest afterwards.
