A ‘Stranger Things’ cafe ha arrived in Glasgow. Primark is known for having one of the most exciting cafes in the city—with a constantly changing theme taking over the menu, from ‘Hello Kitty’ to ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’—but fans of the Netflix series will enter the Upside Down on their next visit.
The team behind these cafe transformations (like ‘The Grinch’, ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and ‘The Simpsons’), Immersive Cafe Co, has unveiled its next creation on Instagram. ‘Stranger Things’-inspired cafés are now open at select Primark stores across the UK.
With ‘Stranger Things’ merchandise and t-shirts already available in-store, like a Hawkins varsity jacket, the new cafe opened in Glasgow Braehead on Friday, October 10. The menu includes the likes of Scoops Ahoy ice cream (of course), tater tots, plenty of shakes, and a not particularly enticing, but wholly on-theme, ‘Nosebleed Matcha‘.
We should learn more soon, as Glasgow’s Braehead cafe opens today (Friday, October 10), before further openings in Edinburgh on Saturday (October 11) and Manchester’s Market Street on Monday (October 13) and Birmingham High Street (October 14). A final ‘Stranger Things’ cafe will open on Sunday, October 19, in Cardiff.
There’s some time until the fifth and final ‘Stranger Things’ season is available for streaming on Netflix. Consisting of eight episodes, each one a movie-length long, the series will be released in three parts, on November 26 and December 25, before a finale on December 31.
