Swifties, rejoice! In light of the ‘Tortured Poets Department’ album release today (April 19), Glasgow can start bracing itself for plenty of themed events coming our way. A Swiftie brunch is no exception, coming to the Barras Art and Design (BAad) this June.
Scottish Swifties can head along to the ultimate Eras Tour prep party – a Swiftie Brunch was announced by Indie Club Glasgow with friendship bracelet making, themed cocktails, food and “non-stop Taylor all day”. Taking place on Saturday, June 1 between 12pm and 4pm, Taylor fans will come together to celebrate the new album and get psyched for her three Scotland dates just days before the world tour comes to Murrayfield Stadium.
Guests can spend an afternoon doing wee crafts with a cocktail in hand as the Swiftie Brunch will boast craft stations and group friendship bracelet starter kits included in the ticket. As Taylor Swift said, “make the friendship bracelets”. Swifties can expect to hear hits like ‘Love Story’, ‘Anti-hero’, ‘Blank Space’ and more, with the brunch visiting every era, featuring all the hits, deep cuts and fan favourites. The organisers described it as “a brunch run by Swifties, for Swifties!”
During the brunch, fans will receive a Taylor Swift-themed welcome cocktail before kicking off the friendship bracelet-making with their loved ones, all included in the price. A mouth-watering selection of brunch plates will also be available but not included in the tickets, from BAaD’s kitchen including avocado toast, eggs benedict and french toast crumpets. And of course, the event will culminate with dancing!
Tickets are £16 including a booking fee, and are available for anyone over 14. Under 18’s need to be accompanied by an adult. You can buy the tickets here.
