The penthouse pop-up will be a sell-out event!
Who doesn’t love a cocktail on a rooftop terrace? Add views of one of Glasgow’s best-loved landmarks and hospitality reopening and you’ve got yourself a post-lockdown treat. Plus, you’ve not got long to wait…
Hotel group Native has announced that they will be hosting a coveted pop-up penthouse party with East End bar, The Gate, from May 13 to May 16. The event came about after The Gate’s April Fools post about their spoof roof terrace with pulleys and a hard hat offered to guests, leading Native Glasgow to reach out to the bar to create this exciting collaboration, as well as support a local business.
In their latest newsletter, The Gate said: “Our April Fools bam up has become a reality troops! We’re taking over the amazing Native Glasgow’s penthouses from Thursday 13th May until Sunday 16th May to host a pop-up on their terraces! Expect a banging bespoke menu from our team with skyline views over the city.”
The bar on Gallowgate has been a saviour during lockdown with their pre-mixed cocktails available to order but this fun penthouse pop-up is an opportunity to finally sip on their mouth-watering cocktails outside of our homes. And you’ll feel classy AF as The Gate’s four-day residency, running from 12pm to 10pm, will take place in three of Native’s private penthouse apartments.
With very limited bookings, this event is likely to sell-out pretty pronto. Those interested can sign up to The Gate’s newsletter where you’ll get first access to tickets going on sale on April 30.
If you’re lucky enough to get a table at this intimate event with a skyline view overlooking George Square , you can sip on drinks from their special menu like the fresh Skyline with Roku gin, watermelon, lime, topped with fizz, plus more top-notch cocktails. Native Glasgow is located in the heart of Glasgow city centre and stylishly-set in an Edwardian Art Deco office building with 64 apartments ranging from studio to penthouse spaces.
