Crying children, calling the police and furious parents have been spotted at the Willy Wonka Experience in Glasgow on the last weekend of February, taking the internet by storm. The event ended up being a complete disaster looking nothing like advertised, with tiny props, AI-created scripts for the actors, and even a brand new character in the Willy Wonka world, The Unknown. More and more information about the situation is coming out daily, with the newest being a brand-new horror movie based on The Unknown in the works.
The horror movie scene is known for capitalising on current trends, so it’s only fitting The Unknown was picked up as fresh inspiration. The film will be created by the Scottish production company Kaledonia Pictures, portraying the evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls.
At the failed Willy Wonka Experience, 16-year-old Felicia was playing The Uknown, and was left on her own for a while without any explanation to the guests who the character was, ending up terrifying the children. The actors also never got paid after being promised £500 for the day.
The well-known ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ story will take a much darker turn in ‘The Uknown’ horror movie, following a couple as they try to escape the world to the Scottish Highlands after the death of their son, Charlie. That is where the visitors tap into the evil being that resides in the house…
Kaledonia Pictures said: “Kaledonia Pictures’ feature-length horror film inspired by the internet phenomenon that has taken the world by storm, THE UNKNOWN follows a renowned children’s book illustrator and his wife who are haunted by the tragic death of their son, Charlie.
Desperate to escape their grief, the couple leave the world behind for the remote Scottish Highlands – where they unleash an unknowable evil.”
