Whether sitting around the fire overlooking the starry skies, or gazing over the sunset from the comfort of a hot tub, life’s simple pleasures become extra special for those seeking a serene haven to unwind. Nestled deep into the countryside lies Timber Valley Pods, offering just that and so much more. The undisturbed spot takes guests away from the chaotic city life, into an undisturbed state of tranquility.
Timber Valley Pods is located deep into the countryside around a thirty-five-minute drive from Glasgow, around 13 kilometres from Kilmarnock. The site consists of seven pods overlooking the fields, with each pod coming with a private hot tub, a barbecue and a fire pit.
Once relaxing outside, the wee backyard encloses visitors into their own bubble of happiness. Upon first glance, the pods look bigger inside than they appear, with a double bed, a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower at the back of the room. Plus, the complex uses renewable energy and heating, so guests can enjoy luxurious comfort with a clean conscience.
Secret Glasgow got the chance to stay at the pods and see what glamping in the Ayrshire countryside is all about. Of course, the highlight of the getaway is the private hot tub overlooking the fields on a sunset, with views of the water and the Isle of Arran on a clear day. Guests can also expect to witness plenty of wildlife, as well as farm animals, with bird songs being a regular soundtrack during the stay.
At night, enjoy stargazing and sitting around the fire pit, sharing life stories over a drink or two. However, the pods do take a wee while to heat up at night, so do turn the heating on for at least an hour before going to bed. Visitors can also enjoy the morning with a cup of tea by the floor-to-ceiling windows from the comfort of the pod, watching nature do its thing.
Overall, Timber Valley Pods offer a calming getaway for those in need of a breather in the fresh Scottish air. Guests will return to their everyday lives feeling more centred, balanced and rested.
