Chase & Status, the powerhouse duo of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status), have long been at the forefront of the UK electronic music scene, and now they’re going on tour, treating us to their show in Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
Their dynamic sound, which blends drum and bass with a multitude of genres, has earned them widespread acclaim, chart-topping hits, and a reputation as true innovators in the UK music scene.
Their trajectory soared in 2023 with a viral Boiler Room stream, propelling the release of their highly anticipated 10-track LP, ‘2 Ruff Vol 1‘. The album’s arrival was heralded by the massive hit single Baddadan, which spent over 15 weeks in the UK Top 10 and was quickly certified Platinum.
The year 2024 marked another major milestone in their career – their collaboration with Stormzy, Backbone, became their first-ever UK Number One, fueled by a viral surprise performance from Stormzy – fresh from a wedding – to 45,000 people during their sold out live show at Milton Keynes Bowl. The track, which dominated the charts for two weeks, kept heavyweights like Billie Eilish and Charli XCX at bay, solidifying Chase and Status’s place at the pinnacle of the UK music scene.
Chase & Status will be hopping around Europe next February, paying the UK a visit in March. They play Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, alongside shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London.
