Fashionistas, rejoice! Silverburn Shopping Centre is revamping its Zara game, introducing a gigantic store in the spot where Debenhams used to be.
While there are plenty of Zara stores around Glasgow, nothing can prepare us for what’s about to come to Silverburn Shopping Centre. The existing store is officially relocating to the old Debenhams unit, creating hundreds of new jobs, and making it one of the largest in Scotland.
Spanning over 47,000 square feet and two floors, the new Zara is set to become the new go-to destination with a new façade and flagship design while also featuring Zara’s latest store concept and integrated online services. That’s right, it will be TWICE the size of the current store in Siverburn, creating a whopping 200 new jobs!
Siverburn Shopping Centre announced on Instagram, saying: “We are super excited to share that Zara will be moving into the former Debenhams unit here at Silverburn ✨🤍
Zara’s new store will be one of the brand’s largest in Scotland and twice the size of their existing unit. Building works are already underway in preparation for Zara to begin their own works later this year to create their new flagship store.
An opening date will be confirmed in the coming months but in the meantime, you can continue to get your Zara fix at the existing Silverburn store which will remain open until their new home is ready. Stay tuned for more exciting brand announcements throughout the summer.”
David Pierotti, General Manager of Silverburn, said: “This long-awaited announcement ushers in a new chapter for Silverburn and reaffirms our position as a premier destination for brands seeking exceptional spaces to showcase their offerings.
Silverburn is on a roll, and the team is eager for what’s to come. Last year, we achieved a record footfall of over 15 million visitors. With our latest additions and a packed schedule of family-friendly events, 2024 is set to be another fantastic year.”
While the exact opening date is yet to be revealed, watch this space for any further updates.
