The UK’s first Chick-fil-A drive-thru has now opened in Scotland this October, bringing its popular chicken to the country for the first time.
Scotland now officially boasts its very own Chick-fil-A, with its renowned chicken sandwiches and shakes. Plus, the site is the UK’s first drive-thru, part of the $100,000 million investment in the UK for the next ten years.
Located at Hamilton Palace Grounds just 25 minutes from Glasgow, the Chick-fil-A drive-thru opened its doors on October 29. What is more, visitors can dine in at the restaurant, as well as get food to take away without using the drive-thru. On opening day, massive crowds were spotted trying out the new place, queuing out the door.

As for the food, chicken lovers can enjoy the Original Chicken Sandwich, made with whole boneless breast of chicken and hand-breaded throughout the day, as well as hand-squeezed Lemonade, milkshakes, freshly prepared salads and a grilled chicken option.
In addition, the new Hamilton Palace Ground restaurant created approximately 100 full and part-time jobs in the local area. The spot also participates in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table, a programme that puts any surplus food to local organisations, providing support to local people in need.
“Opening our first drive-thru in the UK and our first restaurant in Scotland marks an important step forward for Chick-fil-A. Much more than a new level of convenience, the drive-thru extends our signature hospitality into a new service channel, bringing together innovation, quality food and genuine personal connection. We are proud to introduce this experience in Hamilton and look forward to welcoming the community,” said Joanna Symonds, Head of U.K. Operations at Chick-fil-A.
You can find Chick-fil-A at Hamilton Palace Grounds, Retail Park, Unit B, Palace Grounds Rd, Hamilton ML3 6AD. What is more, the restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
