It is said that one in two people in the UK will get cancer in their lifetime. As a result, not having to go through it alone is extremely important, and Beatson Cancer Charity helps to do just that.
Following the success of non-profit restaurant, which helped raise £1 million, Beat 6 in Bearsden, the Glasgow-based restaurant group is set to open its newest charitable endeavour that gives back to the community, Bamboleo. The spot opened its doors on November 8, serving as a neighbourhood Spanish steakhouse and wine bar, as the next step in this vision, with a goal of raising £2 million for the cause.
Located on 149 Milngavie Rd, diners can expect top-quality ingredients with traditional Spanish flavours, plenty of steaks, an inviting atmosphere and a decent wine list. And on Sundays, guests can indulge in a Galician Sunday Roast menu served all day. Plus, 100% of the profits will go to Beatson Cancer Charity.
Six Company Chief Executive and founder Nico Simeone said: “I am really excited about the next steps in our fundraising efforts for Beatson Cancer Charity with the launch of Bamboléo. It’s incredible that we’ve already reached this milestone, and we’re excited to welcome customers to our first Spanish cuisine-inspired restaurant.”
Gillian Hailstones, CEO of Beatson Cancer Charity, said: “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Six Company and expand our mission through the launch of Bamboleo. Following the remarkable success of Beat 6, we’re excited to see Bamboleo open its doors, creating a new opportunity for the community to support those affected by cancer in a truly special way.
Every meal enjoyed at Bamboleo helps provide essential support to cancer patients and their families, and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued commitment of Nico and his team.”
