Churros lovers, assemble! A popular East Kilbride restaurant in Glasgow is giving away 100 free churros for the next three Fridays starting tomorrow (July 5) during the school holidays, so we’ve put everything you need to know into one place.
Di Maggio’s in East Kilbride, Glasgow has recently renovated Churrissimo, becoming the first churro bar and gelateria in town. As the school holidays are upon us, the spot will hand out 100 portions of churro bites and dips for the next three Fridays, commencing on Friday, July 5. To claim, just head in nice and early on a Friday!
Di Maggio’s is a popular family restaurant which underwent a £1 million makeover, resulting in the launch of Glasgow’s first authentic churro bar and gelateria.
Churrissimo now offers a colourful selection of treats including 12 core ice cream flavours and, of course, churros, the classic (and mega delicious) Spanish fried doughnut dessert typically consumed as a breakfast food in Spain.
To make matters even more delicious, Churrissimo invested more than £20,000 in specially sourced churro equipment for the most authentic dessert experience. Moreover, the Chefs also went all the way to Spain to learn the true ways of the churros, training to become masters of churro-making, and maybe even the best on the West coast of Scotland.
Those wanting something more than just free churros can head to Di Maggio’s for an Italian-American meal. The menu boasts pretty much everything you could expect, from pizza and pasta to burgers and loaded fries.
Mariusz Wrona, General Manager at Di Maggio’s said: “Di Maggio’s is all about family, and this giveaway will provide families something delicious and fun to do together this summer holiday. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to experience our delicious churros – and to make some lasting memories together.
“We’re very proud to be part of the East Kilbride community after all these years, and Churrissimo adds a new dimension to our all-day dining destination for young people and families in the town and beyond.”
