Warning: may cause drooling.
Things are looking a lot brighter as the country gradually lifts restrictions plus Glasgow is being blessed with quite a few new openings that we can’t wait to try. From peanut butter and jam to Biscoff cheesecake, this bakery offers an array of fillings in their cookies, as well as serving decadent flavoured brownies and blondies. No, you’re drooling.
After the past couple of years popping up at various locations across Glasgow as well as running a UK postal service for all her baked goods, Jacky of Full Circle Bakes has decided to set up a base for her bakery business in Dennistoun. This opening means the people of Glasgow will soon be able to get their hands on one of Full Circles Bakes’ cookies and recreate that filling reveal oozing with the likes of melted chocolate or Biscoff spread found on their Instagram page.
Announcing the date of the Full Circle Bakes shop opening on Instagram, Jacky said: “Hold onto your hats, VERY exciting news incoming đ¤ It gives me nothing but joy to announce that the shopfront will be open from Saturday the 19th of June!!! 𼳠We will be sharing lots more info over the next week or so, but here are the main things you need to know:
“1. We are planning on opening every Saturday only, from 10am until sellout.
2. There will be no preorders – just show up on the day and buy what ya fancy.
3. For the first few weeks at least, we will have some sort of limit in place of how much you can buy. This will most likely be one box of cookies + one box of blondies/brownies per customer. (Aka you wonât be able to come in and buy 50 cookies in a one-er đ)
4. The first few weeks will be just cookies/blondies/brownies, then I am aiming to expand the selection once we have found our feet with with shop!
5. We are in the process of getting a coffee machine – however we wonât have it installed for another few weeks (again so we can find our feet without over complicating things!) â︔
The professional pastry chef has been sharing photos showing the work in progress on the unit, as well as focusing on Full Circle Bakes postal deliveries, but it won’t be long until the Cumbernauld Road shop opens, starting with just one day a week. Saturdays never looked so good and we’ll be marking our calendars!
Full Circle Bakes has had a number of postal drops (which sell out before we can say cookie) and these have featured the likes of brownies with Tunnock’s caramel wafers or peanut butter, caramel and pretzel, red velvet or hazelnut and Nutella filled cookies and caramelised golden Oreo or spiced blackberry streusel blondies.
