Tulip fields are the star of the season this year, bringing a splash of colour to our lives after a long winter. And luckily, Scotland is not lacking in farms which grow flowers – Gloagburn Farm Shop is no exception, bringing its tulip field to life this April.
Gloagburn Farm Shop is a coffee shop, bakery, butchery and gift shop located in Tibbermore, Perth, offering homemade goods and local produce. What is more, the spot boasts a massive tulip field during the Spring, with further ambitions to grow a sunflower field in the summer.
The pick-your-own tulip field at Gloagburn Farm Shop 2025
Visitors should be able to go tulip picking starting during the weekend of April 13 and open for three weeks, as the sunny weather has helped the flowers grow.
The field boasts over 70,000 bulbs of 15 varieties, with plenty of colours and shapes to choose from. As a result, Gloagburn Farm Shop aims to have the field open for three weeks, perfect for a wholesome family day trip.
During their visit, guests will be provided with secateurs with a pruning bench to tie their bunch, as well as plenty of photo opportunities. For 2025, prices are 60p per stem, and there is no need to book, just show up and get picking!
Opening dates and times
The tulip field at Gloagburn Farm Shop is open between 8:30am and 5:30pm every day, and well-behaved dogs are also allowed in. The field opened on April 13, proving to be super busy. As a result, most of the smaller crop is picked now and was closed on April 14, and the main crop should be ready by April 16/17. Visitors are advised to check in advance to see if the spot is open here.
What is more, after an unsuccessful crop in 2024, the spot is aiming to bring back their sunflower field for 2025 this summer, so watch this space!
