£2 for a Sloan’s Mac and Cheese?! Yes, please! A stack of pancakes at Stack & Still for £1? Hell, yeah! Itison is releasing 20,000 meals for under £5 from across Glasgow tomorrow, and we can’t wait.
Since January does, in fact, have 100 days and is considered one of the saddest months of the year, some of Glasgow’s most beloved restaurants have teamed up to offer thousands of reduced-price meals. The significant discounts are to be expected from Sloans, Maggie’s Rock ‘n ‘Rodeo, Red Onion, Stack & Still, Luciano’s and The Loveable Rogue. Get in!
What discounts should you expect?
The cheapest meals will be a fluffy double pancake stack at Stack & Still or a delicious Dukes Bar toastie for just £1. Sloans is coming back with its £2 legendary macaroni cheese with skinny fries, as well as a £2 pizza slice at Maggie’s Rock ‘n’ Rodeo.
The £3 mark will be met by Ashton Lane’s Brel Bar, offering a half pot of Brel’s famous moules with soda bread. And for £5, guests will be able to snatch a full Scottish or veggie breakfast at Epicures in Hyndland, as well as a main course in the east end’s Loveable Rogue.
CEO of itison, Oli Norman said: “It’s freezing outside, it’s a five-week month for most folk and after spending loads of time with family and friends over Christmas, January starts to feel pretty flat.
“We launched Eat Happy last year for the first time and we’re excited to bring it back even bigger this year encouraging people to get out and enjoy time together at some of Glasgow’s best places for a fiver or less.”
Tomorrow morning on January 12, just head to itison to get the reduced meals and don’t snooze, as the vouchers will go quickly!
