Pasta lovers, rejoice! Sugo is opening its second Glasgow location, bringing locals and visitors alike more of what we all know and love – their seriously good pasta dishes!
The new Sugo Pasta is located on 8 Creswell Lane in the West End of Glasgow, close to Ashton Lane. As in the flagship restaurant on Mitchell Street, guests can expect fresh, handmade pasta, focusing on traditional Italian recipes from regions like Lazio, Tuscany, Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo, Campania, Piedmont and Lombardy.
When is the new Sugo Pasta opening in Glasgow’s West End?

Having opened its doors on March 5, Sugo is a sister venue to Paesano Pizza, which opened a new location in the Southside of Glasgow last year, and is owned by The DRG Group, who are also behind Di Maggio’s, Cafe Andaluz and Amarone.
Guests can dine for affordable prices at Sugo, with pasta dishes starting from £8.50. The menu boasts simple, yet wholesome options, such as the Pappardelle with slow-cooked beef ragù, Tagliatelle with mushrooms in brown butter with fresh sage and Grana Padano or Spaghetti with guanciale, Pecorino Romano, egg yolk and black pepper.

For dessert, foodies can indulge in a wee homemade Tiramisu, as well as a homemade white chocolate and Amarena cherries cheesecake. The drinks menu is uncluttered and precise, with cocktails like Aperol Spritz and Negroni, while the wine list is also simple, with the usual crowd pleasers like Primitivo and Pinot Grigio.
Tony Conetta, Director at DRG, said: “This opening represents an important milestone in Sugo’s journey. What started as a single restaurant with a very clear vision, to serve exceptional fresh pasta, has grown into something much bigger, thanks to the support of Glasgow.”

“The West End is vibrant and proudly independent, so it was important that this restaurant felt authentic to both the area and our brand. We’re proud to be continuing to invest in the city’s hospitality scene and excited for what this next chapter brings.”
