As Henry James said: “Under certain circumstances, there are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.” Having emerged in the 19th century, the concept of afternoon tea has become a pillar of British culture. After all, who doesn’t love tiny sandwiches, baked goods and hot drinks? So, it is only fitting to round up the best spots for afternoon tea in Glasgow.

We’re talking jewellers, artists, musicians, writers, fashion workshops and so much more, as well as a tearoom. 4. Mackintosh At The Willow
Mackintosh At The Willow is one of our favourite all-round spots in Glasgow. Not only has it been designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1903, but it also boasts a suntrap rooftop and a great afternoon tea experience. Making it a great beer garden, the spot is great to enjoy for outdoor dining on a sunny (ish) day.
